UNDERSTANDING THE NDIS
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) offers support to people with short term, long term or permanent disability which can have a significant effect on not only completing everyday activities, but accessing the community, and allied help. It is there to provide help to those in need as well as aid their families and or carers.
This is achieved through early intervention, which provides support and assistance or aids to assist daily activities as including reaching goals, participate in the community. The NDIS does not discriminate against age, religion, or culture and is there to benefit both children, adolescents, and adults.
Making sure that the individual is able to access care and assistance as soon as possible so that it does not affect both the mental or physical well-being, so as to build skills, self-esteem, and freedom through independence.
